Founded as a holding company in the hydraulic sector, IPH acquired Hydrocar, Oleodinamica Pederzani and Zini (PZB), Penta, Panni, Modenflex, Hydroven, Contarini.

Since 2007, Interpump has been present in China and India via two companies with both commercial and production capacity. In 2015 Takarada, Osper and Walvoil merged into a single company, Interpump Hydraulics Brazil, to better serve the important local market.
